Как Tolk обращается с данными

Tolk слушает только тот звук, который вы выбрали. Для распознавания и перевода звук и текст по защищённому соединению уходят на сервер Tolk и нейросети — и нигде не сохраняются. Мы не продаём данные, не показываем рекламу и не следим за вами.

Программа Tolk

  • Tolk AI Live (с подпиской, режим «Живой»): пока говорят, звук выбранного источника по защищённому соединению идёт в сервис распознавания и перевода Soniox. Соединение закрывается через несколько секунд тишины. Soniox обрабатывает звук в памяти, не сохраняет его и не обучает на нём модели. Законченную фразу сервер Tolk передаёт нейросети (через OpenRouter), чтобы уточнить перевод по смыслу лекции.
  • Без Tolk AI Live речь распознаётся прямо на вашем компьютере.
  • Для перевода распознанные фрагменты текста (несколько слов и короткий контекст перед ними) по защищённому соединению уходят на сервер Tolk, а он передаёт их нейросети-переводчику (через OpenRouter). Если нейросеть недоступна, фрагмент переводит Google Переводчик.
  • «Дослушивание» Tolk AI (можно выключить в разделе «Перевод»): когда фраза закончилась, её звук (несколько секунд) вместе с черновиком перевода уходит на сервер Tolk и нейросеть — она заново расслышивает фразу и уточняет перевод.
  • Во время записи лекции новые слайды (снимки выбранной области экрана) уходят нейросети, чтобы взять с них термины и имена для перевода; по началу записи и первым слайдам Tolk AI определяет предмет, чтобы найти материалы на сайте кафедры.
  • Ни звук, ни тексты, ни снимки на сервере Tolk не сохраняются.
  • Сервер Tolk хранит только то, что нужно для подписки: ключ лицензии, обезличенный код компьютера, тариф, сколько часов Tolk AI использовано и в какие дни работал перевод (только даты — для «серии дней» в боте).
  • Статистика в профиле (время перевода, число слов) хранится только на вашем компьютере.

Конспекты лекций (Tolk Pro)

  • Запись лекции, снимки слайдов с экрана, прикреплённые презентации и готовые конспекты хранятся только на вашем компьютере — в папке «Документы\Tolk\Lectures». Слайды снимаются, только пока идёт запись лекции; субтитры Tolk на снимки не попадают.
  • Когда вы нажимаете «Сделать конспект», расшифровка, презентация и снимки слайдов этой лекции по защищённому соединению уходят на сервер Tolk и нейросеть (через OpenRouter) — и не сохраняются. Сервер считает только число конспектов для лимита тарифа.
  • Поиск презентации обращается к сайту кафедры (например, kmti.fei.tuke.sk) напрямую с вашего компьютера.

Бот @TolkShopBot: покупка и ключи

  • Покупка, продление и часы Tolk AI — в Telegram-боте. Чтобы выдать ключ и напомнить о продлении, бот хранит номер вашего чата, язык, купленные ключи и сведения о заказах (тариф, дата, сумма, способ оплаты, код комментария).
  • Переводы на карту и в криптовалюте продавец проверяет вручную: квитанция, которую вы присылаете боту, пересылается продавцу в Telegram и на сервере Tolk не сохраняется.
  • Оплата картой проходит на странице Stripe (stripe.com): номер карты видит только Stripe, Tolk его не получает. Бот хранит номер подписки и клиента Stripe — чтобы продлевать ключ и дать отключить автопродление в «Мои ключи».
  • Для общей статистики (сколько человек открыли магазин, взяли пробный период, купили) бот записывает события без номера чата и имени — только тариф, способ оплаты, язык и сумму. Хранятся 3 месяца в Cloudflare.
  • Бот пишет вам о ваших покупках: ключ, подтверждение оплаты, напоминание о конце подписки и о часах Tolk AI. Изредка — новости и скидки Tolk; отключить — кнопкой «🔕 Не присылать новости» под любым таким сообщением.

Расширение «Tolk — перевод вкладки»

  • Работает, только когда вы сами нажимаете значок Tolk на вкладке. Повторное нажатие — выключить.
  • Звук этой вкладки передаётся только программе Tolk на этом же компьютере (адрес 127.0.0.1) и нигде не сохраняется.
  • Расширение ничего не отправляет в интернет, не собирает историю посещений, личные данные и статистику, не использует рекламу и не загружает код с серверов.
  • Разрешения: в Chrome, Edge и других Chromium-браузерах — захват звука вкладки (tabCapture), фоновый документ для обработки звука (offscreen) и хранение номера включённой вкладки на время сеанса (storage); в Firefox — доступ к вкладке, на которой вы нажали значок (activeTab, scripting). Везде — доступ только к адресу 127.0.0.1 (это сам компьютер): так браузер разрешает передать звук программе Tolk.

Сайт

Сайт не использует cookies для слежки и аналитику. В браузере сохраняется только выбранный язык. Шрифты загружаются с Google Fonts, цены — с сервера Tolk.

How Tolk handles your data

Tolk only listens to the sound you picked. For recognition and translation, audio and text go over an encrypted connection to the Tolk server and AI models — and aren't stored anywhere. We don't sell data, show ads or track you.

The Tolk app

  • Tolk AI Live (with a subscription, “Live” mode): while someone speaks, the audio of the source you picked goes over an encrypted connection to the Soniox speech recognition and translation service. The connection closes after a few seconds of silence. Soniox processes the audio in memory, doesn't store it and doesn't train models on it. The Tolk server passes each finished phrase to an AI model (via OpenRouter) to refine the translation using the lecture's context.
  • Without Tolk AI Live, speech is recognised right on your computer.
  • For translation, recognised text fragments (a few words plus a short preceding context) are sent over an encrypted connection to the Tolk server, which passes them to an AI translation model (via OpenRouter). If the AI is unavailable, Google Translate translates the fragment.
  • Tolk AI “final pass” (you can turn it off under Translation): when a phrase ends, its audio (a few seconds) and the draft translation go to the Tolk server and the AI model, which hears the phrase again and refines the translation.
  • While a lecture is recorded, new slides (captures of the screen area you picked) go to the AI model to pick up terms and names for the translation; from the start of the recording and the first slides Tolk AI works out the course to find materials on the department website.
  • Neither audio, text nor captures are stored on the Tolk server.
  • The Tolk server keeps only what the subscription needs: the license key, an anonymous computer code, the plan, how many Tolk AI hours were used and on which days translation ran (dates only — for the day streak in the bot).
  • Profile statistics (translation time, word count) are stored only on your computer.

Lecture notes (Tolk Pro)

  • Lecture recordings, on-screen slide captures, attached presentations and finished notes stay on your computer — in “Documents\Tolk\Lectures”. Slides are captured only while a lecture is being recorded; Tolk's subtitles are not included.
  • When you press “Make notes”, that lecture's transcript, presentation and slide captures go over an encrypted connection to the Tolk server and the AI model (via OpenRouter) and aren't stored. The server only counts notes for the plan limit.
  • The presentation search contacts the department website (e.g. kmti.fei.tuke.sk) directly from your computer.

The @TolkShopBot bot: purchases and keys

  • Buying, renewing and Tolk AI hours happen in the Telegram bot. To deliver keys and remind you about renewal, the bot keeps your chat number, language, the keys you bought and order records (plan, date, amount, payment method, comment code).
  • Card and crypto transfers are checked manually by the seller: the receipt you send to the bot is forwarded to the seller in Telegram and isn't stored on the Tolk server.
  • Card payments happen on a Stripe page (stripe.com): only Stripe sees your card number, Tolk never gets it. The bot keeps the Stripe subscription and customer numbers — to renew your key and let you turn off auto-renewal in “My keys”.
  • For overall statistics (how many people opened the shop, took the trial, bought) the bot records events without your chat number or name — only the plan, payment method, language and amount. They are kept for 3 months at Cloudflare.
  • The bot messages you about your purchases: the key, payment confirmation, and reminders about the end of your subscription and your Tolk AI hours. Occasionally — Tolk news and discounts; turn them off with the “🔕 No news” button under any such message.

The “Tolk — live tab translation” extension

  • It works only when you click the Tolk icon on a tab. Click again to turn it off.
  • That tab's sound goes only to the Tolk app on the same computer (127.0.0.1) and is not stored.
  • The extension sends nothing to the internet, collects no browsing history, personal data or analytics, shows no ads and loads no remote code.
  • Permissions: in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers — tab audio capture (tabCapture), an offscreen document to process the audio (offscreen) and remembering the active tab for the session (storage); in Firefox — access to the tab where you clicked the icon (activeTab, scripting). In both — access only to 127.0.0.1 (the computer itself), which the browser requires to pass the sound to the Tolk app.

Website

The website uses no tracking cookies or analytics. Your browser keeps only your language choice. Fonts load from Google Fonts, prices from the Tolk server.
